Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions makes Donation to the IDEAS Student Organization at the University of Central Florida for its Earth Day Celebration

Filta, the world’s largest cooking oil micro-filtration and fryer management service headquartered in Orlando, Fl, has made a donation on behalf of its management and Franchise Owners to the IDEAS Student Organization at the University of Central Florida (UCF) for its Earth Day Celebration. Earth Day is a time when the world celebrates the world and all that it has to offer. It is a time when people remember the Earth and are reminded to care for the planet that we love. Eco friendly companies such as Filta see Earth Day as an opportunity to spread the message of sustainability and to support environmental groups that seek to educate the public on the benefits of being green.

Intellectual Decisions on Environmental Awareness Solutions (IDEAS) is a youth-led, grassroots, International sustainability movement growing across universities, K-12 schools and communities around the World, providing people of all ages with the opportunities to grow their ideas and leave a positive impact for generations to come. The UCF chapter mission is to Educate, Engage, and Empower people of all ages in Sustainability through a database of resources, initiatives and experiential learning activities to create positive environmental change on campus and in their community.

Filta believes that IDEAS is a great representative of sustainability and they parallel well with Filta’s core values. Filta has made its mark in commercial kitchens by prolonging the life of cooking oil and offering a unique bin free cooking oil recycling program.
