Filta’s cooking oil disposal program has been a great success in solving commercial kitchen operator’s problems with missing collection bins and stolen used cooking oil. The FiltaBio program can now announce that it has helped the majority of its East Coast Franchise Owners join the eco-friendly program along with those across the nation. Since cooking oil theft projections continue to climb through 2012 as a result of rising oil prices and a discrepancy of how perpetrators should be charged, FiltaBio is becoming a great asset to commercial kitchen operators and their staff.
Many have already turned to the FiltaBio program for their bin free solution and they are finding that the easiest way to prevent oil theft and other problems is to remove the bins completely. Many of Filta’s service locations have outfitted their FiltaFry service vans with waste oil tanks and are able to remove the oil directly from the fryers at the time of cleaning. The response to the program has been overwhelming, and an increasing number of commercial kitchens are selecting the service the removes the bins and barrels from their locations. By removing the problem, pests and perpetrators find themselves looking elsewhere to satisfy their desires. From there, the oil is safely transported to be made into biodiesel, the environmentally friendly alternative to petrochemical-based diesel.
